Great Britain Men’s Water Polo Team currently lie in 16th in Europe having come fourth in the last year’s European B Championship.
The men missed out on qualifying for the 2010 A grade Championship after being drawn in a tough group against Romania, Russia and the Netherlands.
However, during 2009-10 we have played a number of countries ranked above us that are current or past World Championship and European A teams and come away with credit. We have beaten Macedonia (eighth in Europe), Slovakia (12th in Europe) as well as producing competitive performances against Romania and Russia.
